DB Schenker develops key players of the future. With a prize of EUR 10,000, the DB Schenker Award is one of the most important international awards in the logistics industry. An additional EUR 5,000 is awarded to the supervising professorship.

You can apply for the 2011 DB Schenker Award by submitting your dissertation, postdoctoral qualification or comparable academic work given that it was completed between August 7, 2010 and June 30, 2011.

Application criteria

The work submitted should involve a topic concerned with logistics. For example papers on information systems, management systems or communications systems are also permissible provided they have a particular relation to logistics. Works that are particularly innovative and have practical relevance, as well as exellent methodically explained

are particularly welcomed.

Application:

Your application must be made via the professor who supervised your work. This year´s application can be handed in from April 1, 2011 until July 30, 2011. Find the application form for download at bottom of page. The abstract or short version of the paper should contain a summary, your paper´s result and the benefit for the logistics sector (1-3 pages, english or gerrman). We are looking forward to your application sent to the office of Stinnes Stiftung.

Selection

The Foundation's Board of Trustees will select anonymously the most promising applications on the basis of the abstracts submitted (Top 5) and then request the original work. Please do not include originals with your application.
